Article Processing Charges (APC) Policy

How publication-related charges are communicated to authors, and how editorial independence is protected.

01

Overview

Agri Science Forum is committed to transparent and responsible scholarly publishing. This policy explains how article processing charges and other publication-related fees are communicated to authors submitting manuscripts to our journals.

Our aim is to ensure that authors receive clear information about any applicable publication charges before they are asked to make a payment.

02

Applicability

This policy applies to journals published by Agri Science Forum, including:

  • European Journal of Agricultural Extension & Education
  • European Journal of Sustainable Agriculture

Authors should also consult the relevant journal's author guidelines and submission instructions for journal-specific requirements.

03

Publication Charges

Publication charges, where applicable, may contribute to legitimate publishing and editorial operations, including manuscript processing, publication preparation, online hosting, and related services.

The applicable charges and payment conditions will be communicated to the author by the editorial office through an official communication channel at the relevant stage of the publication process.

Authors should review the fee information provided to them and seek clarification from the editorial office if any aspect of the charges is unclear.

04

Communication of Charges

Agri Science Forum will communicate applicable publication charges directly to the corresponding author once the manuscript has undergone the relevant editorial assessment and the applicable fee arrangements have been determined.

Where a charge applies, the author will be informed of the amount, currency, payment procedure, and relevant conditions before being asked to make a payment.

Authors may contact the editorial office for clarification regarding publication charges at any stage of the submission process.

05

Editorial Independence

Editorial decisions are based on the manuscript's scholarly quality, relevance, originality, ethical compliance, and the applicable journal policies.

Payment of a publication charge does not guarantee acceptance or publication. Manuscripts may be rejected on editorial or scholarly grounds regardless of an author's willingness to pay.

Fee-related communications should remain separate from the academic assessment of the manuscript.

06

Payment Procedure

Where publication charges apply, payment instructions will be provided through an official Agri Science Forum communication channel.

Authors should verify the payment amount, currency, recipient details, and any applicable invoice before making a payment. Payment confirmation or a receipt should be retained for reference.

Authors should contact the editorial office if they receive inconsistent payment instructions or require clarification.

07

Waivers, Discounts, and Refunds

Any waiver, discount, refund, or cancellation arrangement will be governed by the applicable journal policy and the terms communicated to the author.

Authors should obtain written confirmation of any approved waiver, discount, or refund arrangement. No waiver, discount, or refund should be assumed unless confirmed by the editorial office.
